There is something effortlessly nice about Newcastle-born fitness entrepreneur and fashion model, Mr Tim Robards, and its not just his Wolverine looks.

With comparisons to the nicest guy in Hollywood, Hugh Jackman, Tim is about as down to earth as celebrities come.

Born and bred in Newcastle, the fitness guru (The Robards Method) enjoys coming back to his roots and keeping active around his hometown, whether it be out on the lake or down on one of our picturesque beaches.

We caught up with Tim to talk fashion, fitness and Newcastle ahead of his Myer runway debut on March 16.

1. What do you love most about Newcastle?

Beaches, Backyards & down-to-earth people.

2. What does being an influencer mean to you?

It means to be aspirational, inspirational, loved & respected … I hope!

3. Who influences you & why?

The Rock – top of his game, hardest worker in the room, came from nothing & seems like a good guy. Also, John Demartini – has a wealth of knowledge & changed the way I view the world.

4. How do you hope to inspire those around you?

Walking my talk, always expanding my comfort zone, being the best version of myself (most of the time… I’m still human).

5. Top three Instagram accounts we should be following…

@therock, @therobardsmethod, @annaheinrich1 – haha!

6. Name your three favorite fashion labels at the moment…

Aquila, Hugo Boss & Annex at Bondi.

7. Describe yourself in three words …

Adventurous, caring, driven.

8. A perfect day in Newcastle is…

Brekkie on my parents’ balcony overlooking Lake Macquarie in Toronto, then a stroll to Doubletake Cafe’ for a morning coffee (because mum’s just ain’t that good). Followed by either jumping in the SUPs [Stand Up Paddlebord] in the lake or heading into the beach for a dip. Afternoon coffee & lunch somewhere along Darby St… It’s always changing, so I don’t have a favourite. Although I do seem to be visiting Blue Door a lot lately!
