RELAUNCH OF ‘FACE OF FAÇON’ MODEL SEARCH
CELEBRATING CONFIDENCE, POISE, COURAGE AND BOLDNESS
Façon Magazine, in collaboration with The Newcastle Show, are bringing a new era of the ‘Face of Façon’ model search and it is back and bigger than ever.
The model search will be held across the three days of the Newcastle Show on March 3rd, 4th and 5th, aiming to inspire regional talent into a career based on individuality and expression, and less on the outdated beauty standards of traditional modelling competitions.
Lara Lupish, Owner and Founder of Façon Magazine said “we want to encourage talented people, no matter your background, to come forward and share what it is that makes you feel confident. A true celebration of individuality”.
Moving away from typical model searches based on physical beauty, this event is all inclusive and participants of all ages, genders, shapes, sizes, ethnicities and abilities are encouraged to apply.
Face of Façon supporter, Oscar Douglas from Skingym Australia has also come on board to help promote the benefits of skincare and their range of natural and non-invasive skin treatments, a perfect fit for this inclusive event.
Oscar Douglas said, “Skingym will also provide an awesome surprise in the gift bag that each participant will receive”.
A selection panel of 12 familiar Newcastle fashion identities will be looking for a show of confidence, poise, courage and boldness above physical beauty.
Included in the panel are international models Charlotte Mullan and Dylan Oakes, both of which will be appearing throughout the weekend.
Façon is also helping give a little back to our community and promoting the celebration of courage by donating $2 each to both Lifeline Newcastle and Got Your Back Sista from each application fee.
The 12 finalists selected over the weekend will each move forward to the final event being held in June/July 2023, with the winner receiving an 8-page editorial fashion shoot inside Façon’s Spring/Summer magazine.
