On November 19th, New York’s Museum of Modern Art collaborated with Chanel to present a film benefit honouring Academy award winning director Martin Scorsese and his outstanding contributions to the industry.

Collaborating with MoMA, Chanel was proud to present the 11th annual film benefit to celebrate Martin Scorsese and his achievements in film. The event was well attended with some of the Hollywood’s finest creatives, raising funds to ensure great works of cinema continue to become additions to the Museum of Modern Art’s collections.

Honoree, Martin Scorsese, was presented with touching tributes from Leonardo Di Caprio, Robert De Niro, Jonah Hill and MoMA’s Chief of Curator of film, Rajendra Roy. Pre-recorded well wishes were also shown from Australian icons Cate Blanchett and Margot Robbie, and funny man Ray Romano.

Other notable attendees included Drew Barrymore, Michael Ovitz, Darren Aronofsky and Chloë Sevigny, with the evening closed by a performance from Gary Clark Jr.

Previous honourees of MoMA’s annual film benefit include Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, Tom Hanks and Australian’s Baz Luhrmann and Cate Blanchett.
