The New Look: Dior releases their new luxury line ’30 Montaigne’

In tribute to Christian Dior’s birthplace of the luxury house, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents a synthesis of iconic Dior looks, including the release of the ’30 Montaigne’ Bag.

Drawing inspiration from the original mecca of Dior, a ‘hôtel particulier’  discovered by Monsieur Dior on 30 Avenue Montaigne in 1946, Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri has constructed pieces of immutable elegance that reflect the spirit of the house, with the 30 Montaigne bag being no exception.

Despite the line being a tribute to Dior’s traditional roots, the 30 Montaigne bag has been designed to exemplify a sense of creative renewal, touching on the more recent history of Dior, with it’s sleek lines and bold hardware, it touches on the contemporary codes introduced by Maria Grazia Chiuri. The 30 Montaigne bag sports the founding couturier’s initials, with it’s signature discreetly embossed at back.

Making up The New Look, The 30 Montaigne bag is joined by a selection of iconic Dior pieces that have been reimagined by the Creative Director to bring new life to instantly recognisable designs. The line is embodied by Dior’s famous Bar Jacket, an elegant white shirt, Monsieur Dior’s skirt with which he changed the female silhouette & then of course classic bags which have been given customisable metal clasps to make up an ideal mini wardrobe.

“The connection we develop to a place can be extremely powerful. I felt it right away when I stepped inside 30 Avenue Montaigne, the House’s historic birthplace. I thought about creating a new line that would reflect the identity of the house and, at the same time, offer women the opportunity to create a ‘My Dior’ allure in harmony with their lifestyle.” Maria Grazia Chiuri

The 30 Montaigne Line will be available in selected Dior boutiques with a unique display concept specifically conceived for a timeless collection designed to compliment the seasonal collections.
