Denim Takes Centre Stage at Armadale’s Newest Fashion Destination
Luxury multi-brand retailer The New Trend (TNT) is giving denim its moment in the spotlight with the launch of House of Denim, a six-month residency bringing Los Angeles-based labels AGOLDE and Citizens of Humanity together under one roof.
Officially celebrated on August 13, the launch brought together a curated crowd of industry insiders, creatives, friends of the brand and fashion supporters to mark the opening of the new destination at TNT’s Armadale store.
Created in partnership with the two sister brands, House of Denim offers a considered edit of premium denim, contemporary dressing and seasonal ready-to-wear, bringing together the distinct identities of AGOLDE and Citizens of Humanity while highlighting their shared approach to craftsmanship, innovation and modern design.
Across the six-month residency, the space will evolve with new collections, iconic denim silhouettes, exclusive product and a curated calendar of experiences and client activations, creating a destination that extends beyond the traditional retail experience.
Among those joining The New Trend Co-Founder and Brand Director Vanessa Spencer for the launch were Brooke Testoni, Ariana Tapsell, Morgan Waterhouse, Nadia Bartel, Lindy Klim and David Galea, alongside members of the wider fashion and creative community.
Guests explored the newly transformed House of Denim space and the latest collections from both labels, with the evening complemented by food and hospitality from Together Nourished and Undressed, Sea Cave Caviar and Neighbourhood Pizza.
For Spencer, the residency represents a new approach to what luxury retail can offer.
“House of Denim represents an evolution for The New Trend and the way we think about physical retail,” Spencer says. “We wanted to create a destination that felt immersive and considered, while giving AGOLDE and Citizens of Humanity the space to tell their story in a way that’s difficult to achieve within a traditional multi-brand retail environment.”
The collaboration continues TNT’s relationship with the Citizens of Humanity Group and its investment in the Australian market, giving local customers access to the full expression of both labels, from signature denim fits and newest collections to seasonal ready-to-wear and an expanding men’s offering.
With the space set to evolve throughout its six-month tenure, House of Denim positions itself as more than a temporary retail concept. It is a celebration of modern denim culture, contemporary dressing and the increasingly immersive way we experience fashion.
House of Denim is now open to the public at The New Trend, 1071 High Street, Armadale, Victoria. Shop the residency here.
