Dior Sets Paris Fashion Week in Motion
Paris Fashion Week has officially begun, with Dior setting the tone for the season with its Spring Summer 2027 womenswear collection.
Presented on 29 September, the collection explores lightness, movement and technical virtuosity, with Jonathan Anderson translating the House’s codes into a distinctly summery wardrobe. Tailoring softens into flou, while lace, silk mousseline and organza shift between transparency and opacity, creating silhouettes that appear to move with the air itself.
Elements from Dior’s Autumn Winter 2026–2027 collection return in new forms, from flower-like volumes and iridescent finishes to cropped proportions. Long scarves fall from the shoulder, cascading gemstone earrings introduce asymmetry and sheer suiting brings a sense of ease to classic tailoring.
Celebrities Behind The Runway
Celebrities including Rihanna and Jennifer Lawrence brought another element to Dior’s showcase, each interpreting the collection in their own way. Each leaned into a light, effortless look with a sense of structure. Anya Taylor-Joy kept things classic in all black, adding softness and movement through the lace details.
Accessories take an equally playful turn. New iterations of the Dior Bow Sandal and petal-soled Dior Cigale join updated versions of the Dior Double and Initial Hobo, alongside a biker-inspired bag finished with Cannage stitching and D-I-O-R hardware.
A silver minaudière reimagines the wénwán walnut as a sculptural evening bag, nodding to a longstanding Chinese tradition of hand-rolling the nuts.
Across the collection, Dior’s ateliers turn intricate craftsmanship into something that feels effortless: fluid, tactile and made for movement.
