Louis Tomlinson Drops New Single ‘Lemonade’ Ahead of Third Album Release
Louis Tomlinson is stepping into a bold new era with the release of his shimmering new single Lemonade, which premiered overnight as BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. Built on funk-driven guitars, luminous keys and breezy percussion, the track bursts into a chorus as addictive as its title suggests.
“The most important thing was for the first single to sound ambitious sonically. It had to be big and fun,” Tomlinson explains. “To me, Lemonade really has instant and natural personality. It ended up being the perfect way to begin this chapter.”
That chapter arrives in full with his third studio album How Did I Get Here?, out January 23, 2026. Written between the English countryside and Costa Rica alongside producer Nico Rebscher, the record promises a mix of intimacy and ambition, with Tomlinson holding nothing back. “I sum it up as ‘The record I always deserved to make’,” he says.
Since launching his solo career with Walls in 2020, and topping charts worldwide with Faith in the Future, Tomlinson has carved out a space as one of the UK’s most compelling artists. From curating his Away From Home Festival to selling out arenas across five continents, he continues to pair restless creativity with a connection to fans that feels both global and deeply personal.
With Lemonade setting the tone, Tomlinson’s next chapter looks to be his most confident and ambitious yet.
