The Dior Toujours Gets a Softer New Shape for AW26

The everyday handbag is having a quieter moment. Less about making an entrance, more about finding a piece that slips seamlessly into the rhythm of everyday life, and for Autumn Winter 2026–2027, Dior has found its answer in a new take on the Toujours.

Reimagined by Jonathan Anderson, the Dior Toujours Hobo takes the familiar codes of the House and softens them into a more relaxed silhouette. Its rounded, enveloping shape gives the bag an effortless quality, while Dior’s signature cannage brings structure and an unmistakable sense of heritage.

It is the kind of bag designed to actually be lived in.

Generously sized without feeling overly structured, the Toujours Hobo can be carried by hand or slung over the shoulder with its removable strap, making the transition from morning errands to evening plans feel almost instinctive. A discreet CD Lock clasp adds a considered finishing touch without competing with the shape.

The colour palette follows suit. Soft pastel shades give the leather a fresh, delicate feel, while the suede versions lean into richer, warmer tones made for the cooler months. The finishing detail comes in the form of Dior’s “D, I, O, R” charms, bringing a subtle flash of the House’s identity to an otherwise understated design.

What makes the Toujours Hobo particularly compelling is its balance. There is the craftsmanship and couture heritage expected of Dior, but also a sense of ease that feels distinctly current. It is polished without being precious, practical without losing its desirability.

And perhaps that is where the modern luxury handbag is heading: pieces that don’t simply complete an outfit, but become part of how we live.

The Dior Toujours Hobo is available in stores and online now.
