Max has become instantly recognisable within the industry, continuing to build his empire and follow his dream to empower women by making them feel beautiful.

What was the best beauty advice passed down to you from your mother?
Less is more.

In terms of style, who do you draw your inspiration from and why?
My personal style is a mix of classic and sportswear. I like double denim, double pleat-style Armani-style trousers and tracksuits and trainers. My makeup style is about skin!

I use skin-tone colours and shape them to the face. I guess you would say there is a sexiness to my style. My objective is to make my clients feel beautiful and
empowered!

Who do you idolise in the beauty industry and why?
Kevyn Aucoin is my true idol. He was the first king of makeup and always will be. I admire artists like Charlotte Tilbury and Pat McGrath, not only for phenomenal artistry, but turning themselves into a brand!

What is your favourite beauty trend at the moment?
Pink! I don’t know if it’s a trend per se but it’s what I’m loving and using a lot of. Eyeshadow, blush, lipsticks… you name it, I’m using it – and in all sorts of shades, depths and textures.

It’s one of those colours that sometimes can be a little unexpected, particularly around the eyes, but in the right shade can really enhance your skin tone and make your eyes really pop!

What is your best-kept beauty secret?
Now if I told you then it wouldn’t be a secret and I’d be out of a job. I will share with you that your skin’s health and fitness would be your greatest and best investment. You only get one chance, so make it count.

What is a beauty trend that you wish didn’t happen?
Every trend is deserved and has its place.

What advice would you give readers if they wanted to get into beauty blogging?
Do it because you love beauty, do it because you love to write and produce content to inspire and educate others. Find a different and unique angle and listen to those who choose to follow you.

What is your definition of beauty?
Being comfortable in one’s own skin.

What do you predict will be trending this season?
Pinks, reds, oranges and greens when it comes to colours. Liquid to matte lip colours continue to thrive, only now with new and improved texture and wear.

Three products you can’t live without and why?
Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler, Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and the new Urban Decay Heat Eyeshadow Palette.

What is your beauty philosophy?
Less is more.

What made you want to become a beauty blogger?
First and foremost I’m a makeup artist. It’s funny, I don’t really consider myself to be a blogger, rather an artist who chooses to share my knowledge and it’s that reason that got me into writing about my art.

How did you grow your empire?
A lot of hard work. Not being afraid of doing something different. It’s those risks that will set you apart from the others.

What are your best beauty tips for the summer holidays?
Sunscreen. I know it’s an old one and one we hear all the time but the sun is the biggest ager of skin. One you cannot turn back. Find a lip colour that stands out. Light, dark, bright, whatever it is, choose a colour that gives you an edge.

What’s in your beach bag this summer?
Dermalogica Solar Defense 50+, La Mer After Sun and my Bose headphones.

What is your go-to party look?
It’s not just about the one look for me. It’s about personalising your look and expressing your personality. Find colours and textures that highlight and bring out your features. Some of my personal favourite products to experiment with this summer include Liquid to Matte NARS Lip Colours, Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara, Becca Sunlit Bronzers, Charlotte Tilbury Highlight & Contour Wands, Anastasia Beverly Dipbrows! [icon color=”Accent-Color” size=”tiny” icon_size=”” image=”fa-stop”][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
