In Full Bloom: Dior’s Water Lily Moment
For Dior Autumn-Winter 2026-2027, nature is in full bloom, and the humble water lily is having a particularly beautiful fashion moment.
Inspired by the Jardins des Tuileries, the setting for the House’s latest womenswear show, Jonathan Anderson turns his attention to the water lilies floating across the garden’s Bassin Octogonal. A symbol of natural beauty and resilience, the flower becomes a recurring motif throughout the collection, bringing a certain Parisian poetry to Dior’s most recognisable pieces.
The botanical theme winds its way through the House’s leather goods, appearing across icons including the Lady Dior, D-Joy, Dior Bow, Book Tote and Saddle in intricate embroidered interpretations. Perhaps the most precious of the bunch is the Petit Dîner clutch, crafted in green micro-cannage and finished with a delicate water lily clasp.
And the garden doesn’t stop there.
Underfoot, the Dior Bloom sandals and Dior Nymphéas heels bring a floral flourish to every step, while dreamy shades of blue, green and pink wash across silk scarves, Mitzahs and the Diorette scrunchie. Jewellery from the Dior en fleurs line continues the organic story, joined by sunglasses and bag charms for those who prefer their florals with a little extra polish.
There’s something wonderfully whimsical about seeing a flower plucked from one of Paris’s most famous gardens and reimagined across the Dior universe. It’s romantic without becoming overly sweet, playful yet unmistakably polished, a delicate meeting of nature and artifice, the real and the unreal.
